Alright guys happy Sunday! letโs talk about two fitness terms that get thrown around a lot which is strength and endurance. They might sound similar but trust me, theyโre actually SO different.
Strength is all about your muscles being able to lift heavy stuff for a short period of time. Think of it as that power you need for things like lifting weights or doing a pushup. ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ Itโs short bursts of force but itโs intense! Basically itโs how much you can lift or push without getting tired immediately .
And endurance on the other hand, is your ability to keep going for a long time without burning out. This could be running, cycling etc. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธโโก๏ธ Itโs less about how much weight you can move and more about how long you can keep moving.
Theyโre both super important!! and you can actually train for both at the same time! So whether youโre lifting heavy or running miles, both kinds of fitness will help you level up!!! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅ

2.Greek Yogurt & Berries๐ซ
A serving of plain Greek yogurt with fresh or frozen berries. High in protein and antioxidants
3.Hummus & Carrot Sticks๐ฅ
A small side of hummus with carrots. rich in fiber and healthy fats keeping you full and energized.
4.Almonds & Dried Fruit๐
A handful of unsalted almonds with a small portion of dried fruit. provides healthy fats, protein, and a bit of sweetness.
5.Rice Cakes with peanut Butter๐ฅ
almond or peanut butter on a rice cake. for healthy fats and gives you a good energy boost.

Superset for efficiency
โขjust combining two exercises back to back (without rest) to save time and boost intensity of your workout. It maximizes your workout in less time and keeps your heart rate up.๐ฅต๐
2. Track your progress
โขyou can use something like a fitness app or journal to track your workouts, reps, and the amount of weight that youโre lifting. ๐ช๐ผSeeing your improvement over time keeps you motivated and can be sooo helpful with your future goals๐
3. Compound movements
โขmake sure you are focused on compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. Basically to engage many muscles groups at once but it is great for helping you burn more calories, build strength, and get your desired results faster!! ๐
4. Fuel properly pre and post Workout
โขPre workout: could be a small snack with protein and carbs like a banana with peanut butter
โขPost workout: Replenish with protein and carbs this could be a protein shake with fruit or a chicken salad ๐ฅ to repair muscles and help your body to recover. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน
5. Consistency
โขDonโt aim for perfect workouts. Consistency will always be the key ๐ Even a shorter, lighter workout is more effective than none at all! Just keep that in mind. ๐ฅฐ

Weโve made it through Monday! ๐ฅต They can definitely be tough after some of us have the freedom and luxury of the weekend but we made it to Tuesday and it doesnโt have to be a return to burden mindset!! for those of us dealing with mental health challenges or high pressure jobs, the start to the week can especially feel heavy. Some ways I like to get through it is:
~Plan ahead by getting organized for your week and writing your to do list down. โ๐ผ ~Start small and slow. give yourself permission to ease into the day you donโt have to feel like you have to hit the ground running take it slow. maybe have a calming cup of coffee or tea to help you relax. โ๏ธ ~Have compassion for yourself itโs OK itโs not be 100% at the beginning of the week instead, approach it with a more positive mindset. ๐ง โก๏ธ ~And remember if you have a bad start to the week it doesnโt define the rest of it. You always have the power to get yourself through and to change or shift the outcome.๐๐ผ๐ช๐ผ
This year I think itโs super important to discuss my new years fitness goals because fun fact: Writing down your goals actually makes you 42% more likely to achieve them!!! โ๐ผ๐ 1) Set more personal goals in the gym 2) Attempting a new skill to master 3) Fueling my body a lot better (more regular meals as someone who forgets and more rest and recovery time!) 4) better cardio endurance 5) Aiming to increase my strength ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Donโt forget to share yours and write them down!!! ๐

As 2024 comes to a close, Iโm feeling sooo grateful for the challenges this year brought. I pushed my limits, hit new personal records, and kept a great balance of hard work and recovery. But the real highlight? Having you guys along for the ride!! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
This year wasnโt perfect, but every step forward has made us stronger. Iโm excited for what 2025 holds. And for those of you who feel like they havenโt met any goals or just had a tough year in general that is OKAY!! Donโt forget to give yourself some grace and letโs celebrate getting through it!!! Soo excited for 2025! ๐ฅณ
Honestly iโm gonna get a little personal here๐ฉ but going into 2025 one of my more simple new yearโs resolutions will be to try my very best to remain as stress free and composed as possible. I donโt know about you guys but stress definitely plays a huge part in my life and i feel like im just running on empty sometimes!! A good new yearโs resolution we can share is to remember to take โmeโ time and prioritize massages, weather is a massage chair, a professional massage, a facial, or meditation, even doing things that bring me more peace. It is a big goal of mine to prioritize the little things this year that will hopefully in turn help me to achieve the big ones! ๐ฅฐ๐
This exercise is SUCHHH a great way to practice your body control and work your core and upper body! Start by dead hanging from the bar with your body completely straight then lifting your knees and legs fully toward your chest as high as you can go and repeating this until failure folding your body completely in half. This gives you great range of motion and works on your flexibility too donโt forget to give it a try!! ๐ฅฐ๐ช๐ผ
